The “inactive” performance of the museums decreases their attraction to the public. Making up the “ active” architecture, which is able to encourage citywide public participation is the pivot point in the project point.

The project is located on Ersha Island which contains several city parks to the north of the site. Xinghai Concert Hall and the Overseas Chinese Museum are to the west of the site. Besides, citizens always take a stroll along the Pearl River.
